On Saturday 3rd December we see an intriguing bout between Prince Arron (21-3-1) and Brian Rose (17-1-1). Arron, 23, had an indifferent start to his career losing to Anthony Small and Danny Reynolds within the space of a few months and the later lost to top Irish fighter John Duddy.
After entering the Prizefighter competition, his career took another direction. He beat the bookies favourite Bradley Pryce in his second fight and then went on to win the 10th Prizefighter tournament.
Just over a year later he knocked out Sam Webb in the final round to win the British light middleweight title. Arron was behind on the judges scorecards but found the power and determination to win the fight.
In a post fight interview Arron said: "This was like my Rocky story, a lot of people doubted me but I dug deep and came out the champion."
On Saturday night Arron believes he will be on course to win the Lonsdale belt outright by beating an old sparring partner Brian Rose.
"Brian is a great fighter and I know he'll be coming to win, but I am in a different place now and nothing will stand in my way."
Brian, 26, has had a steady career rising through the ranks of the light middleweight division where he won the Central Area title after 15 fights.
A loss to Maxwell back in 2010 seemed to halt his progress but Brian bounced back going on to win the English Light Middleweight title against Lee Noble and defended it a few months later against Martin Welsh and now believes the time is right.
"I know Arron very well and I believe I have the tools and strategy to beat him and come Saturday you will hear the words "and the new," said Brian.
The show is live on Sky Sports HD and has a full supporting undercard including Karl Place v Steve Williams for the British light-welterweight title eliminator.
