Frank maloney has added the Irish light heavyweight title between John Waldron vs Paddy McDonagh to third time lucky on January 21st at the Liverpool Olympia.
Paddy McDonagh, 21 from Mullingar has a 7 -0 perfect record and is looking to capture the Irish title in just his 8th professional fight.
John Waldron has had mixed fortunes in his career but believes winning the Irish title can change his fortunes for the best.
This fight has been sanctioned by the Boxing union of Ireland and the British boxing board of control.
This will be the first of many fights that Irish Rope promotions and Frank Maloney will put on together as boxing in Ireland seems to be at a stand still.
