Manny Pacquiao will defend his WBO welterweight title against Timothy Bradley on June 9 at the MGM Grand, Las Vegas.
The fight will be Pacquiao's 60th as a professional and continues a demanding schedule that includes impressive wins over Oscar De La Hoya, Ricky Hatton, Miguel Cotto, Joshua Clottey, Antonio Margarito and a controversial majority decision victory over the Mexican Juan Manuel Marquez.
Bradley had been touted as a potential opponent for Amir Khan, a stablemate of Pacquiao, before Khan's dramatic defeat to Lamont Peterson in December and remains undefeated as a professional, though Pacquiao will be his hardest fight to date.
Pacquiao's trainer Freddie Roach, in a thinly-veiled swipe at Floyd Mayweather Jr, said of the fight: "It's nice to be fighting a fighter who is undefeated and not worried about losing that zero on his record."
Though Bradley has been a world champion at light welterweight since his 2008 victory over Junior Witter, he fought at welterweight in 2010 when he beat Luis Carlos Abregu and has other high-profile victories on his record that include Kendall Holt, Peterson, Devon Alexander and Joel Casamayor.
