Vitali gets Briggs whilst Wladimir meets Samuel Peter.
With both Klitschko's announcing heavyweight world title fights many British fans would have hoped for news regarding David Haye but it seems they will yet again end up disappointed after the brothers announced two rather obscure opponents.
Vitali will face the 38 year old Shannon Briggs, the former WBO champion who was stopped by Lennox Lewis inside five rounds back in 1998.
Briggs is ranked number 8 by the WBC and will meet the older of the two brothers in Hamburg on October 16th.
Wladimir will face a rematch with Samuel Peter after his bout with Alexandr Povtekin fell through. Doubts surfaced surrounding the match after Russian failed to appear at a pre-fight press conference in Germany earlier in the month
Instead Klitschko will defend his IBF, IBO and WBO titles against the “Nigerian Nitghtmare' Samuel Peter. The first match was one of the toughest of the Ukrainians career and he was put down three times over the twelve rounds before struggling his way to a unanimous points decision. Peter has also fought unsuccessfully against Wladimir Klitscko in 2008 and quit on his stool at the end of the eighth round.
